My beloved Grandma and Grandad (my dad's parents) live in Wigan and as I've been to visit them quite a few times now I fell in love with the place! To have a site like this that allows me to see current photos and news and such is wonderful. The photo-a-day albums are my favorite. Often times when I'm missing my family I'll come onto wigan world. Makes me feel like I'm still connected even though I'm thousands of miles away. Thanks to everyone who makes this website possible. Much love!

Me and my mate Eddie cropper wanted to become milkmen so we went to the co-op for a job. When we went to the office it wasn't a dairy it was Coops, we saw a sign on the tower and found out it was a sewing factort. we worked there from 1969 till it shut down.

I can't register at the moment. But I'm searching for a man called Mark that I have met 10 years ago in Tenerife. Unfortunatly I forgot his last name. He must be around his fifties now. He was a carpenter, a lead singer in a band and a volunteer at the police. I know he had a son. If someone regonize his description, please let me know. mbeije@flowserve.com
