Great site. Looking for info on a monument to the Chadwick family for their son's contribution to WWI. It is somewhere in Lanchashire County. Thanks!

Fantastic site - I've just told all my family (born and bred Wiganers) about it. A search engine on the site would be helpful to look for specific streets, families, etc.

It's not fair that the Lancashire Publishing Organisation made you remove all the news. Where am I supposed to get the latest stuff about Wigan now? Photo album's great, especially the Central Park pics.

Love your site, and visit it quite regularly to keep up-to-date with the news. For those people who have wondered (and there have been a few) YES, I am the same Carole (nee Barber) who founded The Wigan Peers organisation when I still lived in Sydney. We had some really fun times back then. I have lost touch with many since I moved to Melbourne 13 years ago, but if any of them would like to get in touch, I would be happy to hear from them. Because of your wonderful site, I have had 6 people get in touch, old neighbours etc., thank you so much and keep up the great work.

Just like to say "hi" to all in Wigan who access this page. I can't express how much happier this site has made me tonight. It's brought back so many memories. Although I now live in the States, I am proud to be a Wiganer!! Just incase anyone reads this that may know me, my maiden name was Partington.
Wigan.... you're the best!!!!!

I am looking for any photos or info about the Pagefield on park road or the St Andrews Primary school that was open in 1951. My mother and her family came from Wigan and would LOVE to find any info of the Reynolds family Who came from The Reynolds family. We are still in search of my grandfather John Reynolds who's father was James Reynolds.

I've have lived away from Wigan so many years now. Seeing this site confirms what I thought when I first left Wigan: you can take the boy from Wigan...but you'll never take Wigan from the boy

When I first began researching my 'wigan' ancestors some years back, there wasn't a single site anywhere for Wigan, and now I've found yours, I must say, it's really great !!

So, if there are any DUNN'S, McNULTY'S, GILMLORE'S or LYON'S out there, why not look up my ancestory queries on the 'Genealogy' page.

Well done Brian - keep up the good work !!
