The photo purporting to be the exist of the Great haigh Sough is wrong!! The exit is circa 200 yards further along the stream. The original stonework is still in place.
A pumping station has rencently been installed to pick up the effluent and run it through reed beds to precipitate the iron oxide before letting it run back into the Yellow Brook and thence into the River Douglas.
