looking for a map of a in m circa 1955?

I think i have the right area is there a Nazerth house called Ditton , It was once an orpahnage as a youngster I lived there before going to australia in 1952.
Not long after a movie was made called the leaving of Liverpool. On orphans in the Christian brother run schools in australia .
This sis a good sight and I hope someone can help me out as there was also from memory a place called Kelton in woodlands road Agurbirth or something?

must reply to vanessa, and inform her I was born and bread in Wigan but have lived and worked in the South of England since 1966, and I would STILL come back to Wiggin, after all this time but UNFORTUNATELY my kids grew up down here and I cant leave them, not much going for the folks down here, no CULTURE cheers two zero

where exactly is Herfordshire?

As a Lancastrian & Ex Brynite,I find it very offensive to hear people slagging off Wigginers.To a lot of people who live in the south of England (but not all thank God)think that anyone who lives north of Watford Gap is ignorant & uncouth..Come up to Wigan & get a Northern welcome..

Anyone who comes on this site for a short period of time and makes a rude comment about Wiganers, his very rude and should learn to have manners,I come onto this site from
Australia and find It to be a sight that would only appeal to people who want to learn
some thing.And are of high Intelligence.

I found wigan boring im from Herfordshire i feel the wigan people tink here big headed and i find them rude.
