Hello Cathy the book is a good read its about life in Platt Waz in`t early 40s an`t 50s. Was Jimmy an artist like singing ???? if he was his name is in it, sounds as though they had quite a bit of fun. speak to you later byebye

i spent one of the best summers of my life in wigan .. about 10 years ago .. i'd looove to find the people i was host by ( Mrs Dot & Mr Tony, and their youngest son Paul ) but i cant remember their last name nor their address .. :(

anyway, i still keep Wigan in my heart! luvely place!

My grandfather was a boy miner around 1911, is there anyway I can find out which mine he worked in? He was called James Stanley Croft born in June 1897 or there abouts, he was a soldier in WWW1, but I can't find out which regiment he was in. I would be grateful for any info.
