Me questions Pat Green on not knowing Ince from hindley, then claims to have moved from Barnsley to Ince and he thinks he's in Wigan.

And David Chaffin-Power seems to think Formby is Liverpool?

Hi Albert Parr,your previous mail you have mentioned Eddie Jones,I'm on a break in UK and I spoke to my sister about Eddie,she said that both Eddie and his brother James were dead.I lived in Edward St3 doors from them,Imust be around 4/5 years younger than you Albert,but all the names you mentioned,and all the activities I do remember them well,a few more names from Ashton St,Gambles,Bibby,Connolly.it did seem in those days as God's little acre.

mum was born in ince hindley area1909.Looking for schools that she might have attended,thought the site was very interesting

I went to Rose Bridge early 40s i remember mr Lancaster and mr Hurst

Anyone remember Rose Bridge Primary school in Rose st,near the canal .The headmaster was Mr,Seddon and a teacher Miss Dickens,I dont rememer any other names.This was about 1941.Would this be too far in the past?

Have some wonderful memories of Wigan, Winstanley and Marus Bridge Middle School. Anyone remember the name of the primary school in Winstanley near Berkeley Ave and the shops (which had Martins newsagents)? Anyone remember me? If so, drop me a line. Gary.

Surely, Jack Berry, if your great grandmother was from Aspull, then all your ancestors didn't come from Wigan.

At least one came from Aspull.

Formerly from Higher Ince (Gods Country) been living in Australia since 1988, schooling at Ince Central and Rose Bridge High School.

im a wiganer and moved down south 6 years ago just like to keep in touch see whats happening in wigan as i dont tend to go up there anymore anothe way to keep in touch besides facebook and i do like to see if anybody i know on here good site...
