I have been trying to register for some months and am not able to. Please can anyone help me to trace family, especially living relatives, related to the following people: My g grandmother Rebecca Sinclair (Hill) or her brother James or my g grandfather John Hill, born 3rd December, 1832 in Pemberton, died 8th June 1889, Elm cottage,Pemberton. Any one with these people in their family trees? Your assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Info for GEOFF HEYDER, N.Z. This site is a very informative one, once you find your way thro'it. Select "stuff" on the tool bar, then scroll down to Wigan cemetery index. insert your Preston name in the search box, and it will give you the names of any relatives who lived around the Poolstock area @ the time, and the grave no. they are buried in. Sadly, 107 Poolstock Lane was demolished quite a few years ago, and the site is overgrown. Good luck in your search

I made a mistake with my previous message. My descendants come from Wigan.107 Poolstock Lane to be exact.the family name is Preston and they lived there up until about 1900 before they emigrated to New Zealand.I found the house in 1996 when I was in England and took photos. Not sure if number 107 Poolstock lane is still there, can someone let me know if it is please.Any information about the Preston family in the 19th century would be good. They go back on one side to Adam and Mary Sharples who came from Scotland in the late 1700s.

....greetings again from Swansea. Since you were good enough to post my Wigan Atletic v Swansea City preview, the least I can do is to invite any of your readers to read my Swansea-centric match report on
http://pierre91.blogspot.com/2012/03/wigan-athletic-v-swansea-city-match_04.html

Best of luck for the season- I hope we can both be good enough to make next year's return be a PL fixture, too.

Respect.
