Karen Thomas Gerrard is a well known name in Ashton, Wigan. There is even a pub named after him. Do you think it is the same man.

While researching the life of my ancestor, Dr. Thomas Gerard, who immigrated to the American Colony of Maryland in the 1600s, I came across this site. This is a beautiful site, and I hope to visit your area someday. So many of my ancestors were born and died there. Finding your site really helps me to see where they lived their lives.

WILLIAM The Railway is still going strong, despite pubs shutting every week. Do you remember the Tips across the road. They are building about 200 dwellings on there now. Hope they don't sink.
