Searching for Photos of the Wigan/Abram areas that my Ancestors lived in during the 1870-1901. The streets & houses have given me an insight to where and how they lived. That is important to me. Thanks to all who have taken photos. Coal Mines is next.

Hi, I was looking for some help on the Pizzey family in wigan.
Mainly I am looking to find out about Mary-Jane Pizzey who had a son called Harold Pizzey in 1920,she lived at 3 crown street at the time of his birth.I think her maiden name was Knowles not 100% and her fathers name may have been Joseph, also she may have een widowed early on again this is guess work from the little research I have done.I know harold went on to get married to Lily Ince in and they had a son called Harold in 1940 if anyone has any information on this family please do get in touch.

I am looking for a copy of the 2004 Churches Together In Orrell Calendar.
This calendar has photos of a row of cottages in Church Street that was part of a small square of houses and shops, dated approx. 1920's. I am looking in particular for the haberdashery shop, as I believe was owned by my Great Grandparents. Maybe Moss or Taylor. Thank You.

I'm looking for the Shaw family from Billinge - please read....I was born Angela Shaw on 19.07.55 in Sharoe Green Maternity Home, Fulwood, Preston. My birth mothers name is Irene Shaw dob 28.08.31 I was adopted, because she was not married and her parents wouldn't let her take me home. My name was changed. I am looking for my mother (a long shot because she would be 84) or any half siblings or other members of the Shaw family who once lived at 7 Beacon Road, Billinge, Near Wigan. Irene had sisters and brothers, so if you know any of the children of the family listed below (my cousins) please get in touch with me. I would dearly love to be in contact with my birth family. I currently live in Bolton so not gone very far.
The Shaw family children all born between 1915 and 1931 are: David, John, Alice, Florence, Cyril, George, Annie, Frances, Mary then Irene (my Mum) - where did they all go? Who did they marry?
Get in touch if you're from Billinge, you might be able to help me! Irene is last lady on the right of the photo of the Shaw girls. They called her Rene. I found the photos on the Billinge History website! I can't wait to hear from someone! I'm 60 now and would so love to meet a real relative and find out what happened to my mum xx

Hi there! I was wondering if someone could help me out. I'm trying to solve a bit of a family mystery and I need to find a list of servants who worked in Haigh Hall in the late 1700s/early 1800s. Does such a record exist?

I'd be extremely grateful for any help!

Thanks x
