Silver street is long gone and now part of Cambridge Way off Darlington Street East. The streets in that area went in the 1960's clearance.

Arthur was born 1922- 1978 and John Percy was 1894-1928 yes he died 2 years later after the mining accident with pneumonia
and broken several ribs i have some birth and death certificates of John Percy and going further in to the family history i have also been to John Percy's grave so if you have any more info can u contact me on here please Regards Jan .

The Priestleys that lived in smithwood Ave Hindley did have a son along with 2 daughters Betty and Margaret. I can't remember the sons name he would probably be in his 70s now
