My great grandfather was James Scotson, of Little Byrom farm, Lowton. My grandfather, Abraham Scotson, became a Veterinary Surgeon and he last lived in Kent, where my dad, Jimmy Scotson was born. Any relations out there? My second cousin, Allan, has recently visited Leigh.

A very interesting site - it's good to take a trip down memory lane. I and my brother Geoff used to live on Norley Hall. Geoff now lives in Sydney and I live in Melbourne. Would love to hear from anyone who knew us back then.

I am doing some genealogical research for a brother-in-law. His family name is Gregson, and apparently an Anne Gregson married Sir Francis Sharp Powell, M.P. for many years for Wigan. Nice looking community, and a nice looking web site.
