Brings back the memories, my mouth still waters at the thought of Winnards steak & kidney pies and the chips from Lawlors Chippy on Park Road near Springfield, playing snooker at the Pagefield with Bernard McGurran. Aaaaaaaaaah.

I am doing some genealogical research for a brother-in-law. His family name is Gregson, and apparently an Anne Gregson married Sir Francis Sharp Powell, M.P. for many years for Wigan. Nice looking community, and a nice looking web site.

Nice to see Joe Pey reply-keep up the good work Joe. I used to live at The Stork in Marsh Green. I heard a rumour it'd been knocked down and yet it was only built in 1963! Is it true?

This site is a treasure chest of wigan photos and info. I am an emotional person and the old pics certainly evoke emotions from the past and when I was in Wigan. I saw this site a while ago and it has progressed very nicely. keep it up, and I will be happy.
