just looking at pictures of home lets me know i have loved ones back there and i ca,nt wait to see my home town and friends it,s lovely to see the town all the way out here.

Brings back the memories, my mouth still waters at the thought of Winnards steak & kidney pies and the chips from Lawlors Chippy on Park Road near Springfield, playing snooker at the Pagefield with Bernard McGurran. Aaaaaaaaaah.

I am doing some genealogical research for a brother-in-law. His family name is Gregson, and apparently an Anne Gregson married Sir Francis Sharp Powell, M.P. for many years for Wigan. Nice looking community, and a nice looking web site.

My mother is Cathrine jolley whos maiden name was McCormick now aged 58 from Wigan Lancashire UK. and my father is William Jolley ( bill )who is 66yrs from Hardybutts, Scholes Wigan Lancashire UK. This site is a treasure chest of wigan photos and info. I am an emotional person and the old pics certainly evoke emotions from the past and when I was in Wigan. I saw this site a while ago and it has progressed very nicely. keep it up, and I will be happy.

interesting site ! my neck of the woods was Aspull b.1952 / left late 70's. Still enjoy a walk 'round Haigh Hall now and again 'though.
