This site is a treasure chest of wigan photos and info. I am an emotional person and the old pics certainly evoke emotions from the past and when I was in Wigan. I saw this site a while ago and it has progressed very nicely. keep it up, and I will be happy.

Not born in Wigan but my father was. Taken there in 1947 left for New Zealand in 1958. Although born in France England still feels like home and has the biggest pull for me. Went to Poolstock school and my headmaster was Mr Horrocks. Caught a pike once in the canal across the road and kept it in a bath in the back yard. Walked in the walking days.
