My Gt Grandfather and his son Charles were killed in the Bamforlong Mining Disaster in 1892.The Mann family left Wigan Lane and moved to Shaw in 1914. Are there any other relatives

Thanks for your reply. I've been in Canada for 50 years. Lived and worked in Toronto for twenty years, then moved to a small town in Midwestern Ontario, finally moved into the country proper, living in a former farm house, last year.
I was indeed in the photo you mentioned you had been given by Mr.Studdert (what a terrific person he was).I was in Form 2A, second left, front row. I have fond memories of Mr Studdert, even though he advised me, in fourth form to give up on studying Latin! I visited him a couple of times after leaving UGS. The last time was,I believe,about a year before I emigrated.
