Does anyone out there have class pictures of St Mary's School, Lower Ince, from 1949-1950 and Spring View, Ince, from 1950-1954?
I grew up in Belle Green Lane from 1939-1948 and Heaton Street from 1948-1958.

I would love to speak to the man who put the photos of Orrell on the site. The coal was being delivered by my granddad Harry Ashcroft.We have a copy of the same photograph and others, it's just curiosity how he came by it.

Great site.I moved to america 20 yrs ago,i went back home last year to visit my dad,then a month later he died.He never spoke about family but his mothers birth cert shows she was born in wigan. Emma bentham born to peter bentham and rachel bentham(nee holland) It was awesome to find this site. Thankyou

hi there lookin to find old school mates. any one who went to whelly middle school and left in 1982. and the deanery high school and left in 1985. always wonderd wht happend to them, and some of my fav teachers. miss jones, mr wilson to name a few. whould be great to get in contact again

it is a very good site love it we are on for hours beth aged 10 is enjoying looking at olden day photos of bryn and i love looking at ince and remembering my childhood in the sixties.poor but very happy.
