Can anyone tell me about a mine called barley brook in wigan?? Anyone have access to old mining records/news around the 1900s to 1925?

I am interested in a Pub named the Victoria which was in Ashton Road, Pemberton, back in 1861. I am researching the surname of LITHERLAND and I believe the family who lived there in 1861 were connected to my grandfather Thomas Bryan who was born in Burnley in 1874.
Would love to have any information about the Pub or any Litherland families from Wigan. My grandfather's father in law was a James Litherland married to a Mary Ann Litherland nee?
