Hello
I am interested in a Pub named the Victoria which was in Ashton Road, Pemberton, back in 1861. I am researching the surname of LITHERLAND and I believe the family who lived there in 1861 were connected to my grandfather Thomas Bryan who was born in Burnley in 1874.
Would love to have any information about the Pub or any Litherland families from Wigan. My grandfather's father in law was a James Litherland married to a Mary Ann Litherland nee?
Cheers
Brenda Thompson nee Bryan

Calling all SUDWORTHS - I've been researching my family tree for the last 12 months and found a wealth of information on Sudworths in Ashton and Wigan going back to the late 1700s.
Take a took at my site, you may find there's a link to your family
Also, does your family have a Scramell, Croft, Greenhalgh, Makinson, Orrell, Cooper, Vann, Cunliffe, Heyes, Presho, Lowe, Pilling, Speakman, Pugh, Stackhouse, Baxter, Clarke, Pendlebury, Williams or Unsworth? If so, this site may be of interest.

Hello Ken i knew the Rutters by name on Peel st but i dont know if i would recognize you.The one Rutter i would recognize is probably your sister. She was a friend of a distant relative of mine and the last time i saw her was in Worsley Hall in my relatives house. That was over thirty years ago so i hope she is still alright.I have forgot her first name.I have been in touch with Kayleigh on the other forum in the private mail,i was in the same class as her brother Terry.Take a look at the photo of Albert st in 45 and let me know if there are any Rutters on there i might know them.I am in the bottom right hand corner watching.

I never received an identification number he first time so am not sure whether I am officially registered. Just in case I went to Rose Bridge Methodist Junior school and then Rose Bridge School during 1948 - 1957. I lived in Peel Street & Manchester Road then moved to Lower Ince. Ran Ince Parish Church Lads Brigade and then the Boys Brigade. Married Maureen Green (Head Girl at Rose Bridge School) Sunday School Teacher at Belle Green Mission Church and we both ran "The Jinx Club" at Belle Green. Anyone remember me?

What an interesting site. There are so many different things to look at. I have been watching my husband Ken looking at your site over the last cuople of weeks and thought I might register in my own name. I have a considerable amount of old photographs of schools, walking days, old family members etc over the next few weeks I will try and put as many as I can on for other peoples enjoyment and reminiscing. I originate from Belle Green Lane and moved to Coppull Moor when I get married to Ken in 1971.
