A good friend of Sheelagh that has written the previous message.We worked together in blutos downstairs in the pub bit.What great times we had.I,ve just been back this weekend for 4 days so that my spanish hubby could go and watch the wigan/liverpool game.HE was taken on a pub crawl with my brother in law after and just doesn,t understand how we brits can drink but not eat....Brought back some lancashire cheese ,and a few pies with me for my sons who love them...love going back to wigan...

AFter living and working in europe, mostly Spain and Greece with Thomson Holidays mainly. Came here 20 years ago for a holiday!! Married, 2 kids, divorced. Living in Paradise. Blue skies, sunny most of year but no pubs anywhere like UK, especially Wigan. Love RL, son plays in Aust. brag to anyone who will listen about the most successful RL club in the world. Love to stir the aussies. Hear lots of 'northern' accents here. Keep up the good work. Anyone from Notre Dame High School, 1969-76 ish??

Hi i like wigan world but u need more pictures of schools and kids playgrounds n stuff n tho the site aint for kids i found it a lil boring becoz really we couldnt see any of out houses or anything

I am estimating that a typical Wiganer is related to half the people in the town by the time we get to the beginning of the Parish Registers in about 1600.

Lived in Wigan Rd Bryn from 1934 to 1949.Went toSt Peters SChool at Bryn and was a classmate & friend of Derek Croft who was the father of June Croft the olympic swimmer.Has anyone any idea of his whereabouts now??

Hello george Im in shevy, and I have been to taiwan a few times in the 70s, thing what I found hard work then was all the streets signs and shop signs where in chinese writting and it was difficult to get your bearings.
