Great site born and bred in Liverpool butof Wigan stock.My grandfather George Wood wasrelieving officer/superintendent at Frog Lane Hospital.Still have family in Wigan/Hindley.Mother nee withington from Hindley.Thanks again

Lived in Wigan Rd Bryn from 1934 to 1949.Went toSt Peters SChool at Bryn and was a classmate & friend of Derek Croft who was the father of June Croft the olympic swimmer.Has anyone any idea of his whereabouts now??

Hello george Im in shevy, and I have been to taiwan a few times in the 70s, thing what I found hard work then was all the streets signs and shop signs where in chinese writting and it was difficult to get your bearings.

What an excellent site, my home is in Shevington, where I have lived for 36 years originally a scouser who married a Wiganer from marsh green (Pat Tindall)now I hope a fully paid up wigapudlian(wowser) its great feeingto beso far away from home yet see pics of familiar areas (yen for home or politically correct Tiawan dollar for home)keep up the good work will be looking all the time for new updates
