And to the girl who wanted to know about pipedreams on robin park then yes it's still there. And if you log onto www.wiganforums.co.uk you'll find alot of info on it.

I was searching for John Rigby GS and followed a link for school photos in 1962 when I was in the 1st form. The link says the page has been moved or removed. Can you tell me where?

I am researching a film set during the First World war in the North West. Has anybody else come accross the phrase "giving it Wigan" meaning to do something with energy and vigour, or have I imagined it?

Can M Williams tell us how Cave Browne got its name? It is unusual for a church name.

Love the site! I look forward to visiting as soon as I can.
My great-granparents were married in Wigan, and my grandfather was born there. Anyone know or remember Thomas Owens or Brown(e) sisters - Jane (my gr-grandma) or Elizabeth living on James Street around 1905 to 1911 ...? It would be nice to find some relatives before I get there. Any help appreciated!
