I visited my Father, who lives in Wigan. Really miss the place. Nice to see it again- even in pictures.

Does anyone know about the new housing development planned on laithwaite park, worsley hall a sign went up at the bottom of bramble grove yesterday and my family are concerned as there doesnt seem to have been anything said about and now it has all been approved. Thanks

my dad was born and brought up in wigan and i still have a aunt who lives there i am proud to have wigan blood and love visiting when i can.shame i cant get up there more often

I was there in October for 3 weeks and only 3 days rain, absolutley fantastic. To be honest, when I was able to enjoy the scenery, it was categorically the most elegant landscape. Can you tell I enjoyed my stay. Short 'n sweet...Wigan & Wiganers made my decade.

I was born at 19 Delagartes Street April 14,1923.I last visited about 1984. Relatives in Wigan include Ruth Higham, Jack Crooke, the Bates and children of John McCann. Friends remembered Sam Heaton, Liddy Marsh(God Mother)

Great keep up the good work I am more up to date with what is happening in Wigan than people who live there. Can't believe "Woolies" is being demolished for the Grand Arcade. Where are people going to meet to go to the casino & the beachcomber??
