My great-granparents were married in Wigan, and my grandfather was born there. Anyone know or remember Thomas Owens or Brown(e) sisters - Jane (my gr-grandma) or Elizabeth living on James Street around 1905 to 1911 ...? It would be nice to find some relatives before I get there. Any help appreciated!

Does anyone know about the new housing development planned on laithwaite park, worsley hall a sign went up at the bottom of bramble grove yesterday and my family are concerned as there doesnt seem to have been anything said about and now it has all been approved. Thanks

my dad was born and brought up in wigan and i still have a aunt who lives there i am proud to have wigan blood and love visiting when i can.shame i cant get up there more often

I was there in October for 3 weeks and only 3 days rain, absolutley fantastic. To be honest, when I was able to enjoy the scenery, it was categorically the most elegant landscape. Can you tell I enjoyed my stay. Short 'n sweet...Wigan & Wiganers made my decade.
