Hi everyone, I'm originally from Worsley Hall Wigan, went to ST EDWARDS SCHOOL then on to ST THOMAS MORE, SCOT LANE. I moved to Australia in 1986. Can't thank you enough for all the hard work that you put into the website which is brilliant and helps us to keep in touch with whats going on in the "Old Country", even though it makes me homesick at times!! Would love to hear from anyone who went to St Thomas More between approx 1965/70 or who may have crossed paths with me somewhere along the line or in fact anyone in Sydney who would like reminisce about Wigan. Thank you once again keep up the good work.

Love the website. Great to keep in touch with the changes. Came to Oz in 1986. Last visit to UK in 1994 to see family. Seen many changes. Love to remind the Aussies that I come from the town that has THE BEST RL team in the world. They can't deny that even though the cherry & whites are going through a low period. The records speak the facts! Miss the friendliness of Wiganers but don't miss the winters. Would love to hear from anyone on the Gold Coast or Brisbane??

Am working at the centre, not a guest! been working here for 17yrs used to live in Swinley, think the site is fantastic, I go for virtual walks down Wigan Streets, found my first communion photos on your site, have read about things I forgot about. Keep up the good work, we are meeting lots of Wigan folk here for the tri nations will send photos and diary. Regards

hi i'm hoping to find a friend whom i haven't seen for many years we were best friends at primary and middle school but went to different high schools then lost touch. i would love to know what she is up to now her name was amanda richardson and the schools we went to were scot lane and pemberton middle. any information would be much appreciated.

I was born in Wigan but moved to Australia in 1952. My Mother is still alive (87yr young) & loves visiting this website. I have been back a couple of times. Wigan has ofcourse canged a great deal.

Great site, I was a Hindley-er to being 21 then I emigrated, to Australia
Last time i saw Hindley 2002 is had deteriated from 1968, rubbish everywhere, the park full of siler birch trees (weeds) Band stand gone, swings gone, x keys gone, litter stuffed in every privette tree.
What a pitty it was a great little town

I love this site! I have been researching my family from Wigan and Bolton through ancestry.com and luckily found this wonderful site yesterday. It has so many interesting facts for someone who has never been to England but has been heavily working on family geneology. Found my great grandmother and great grandfathers marriage certificate from 1885. Thanks
