My sister and I were amazed and delighted by the pictures of Borsdane Wood posted by Tony Haslam. These brought back memories of our childhood - 60 plus years ago. We remember walking over the Borsdan Brook Bridge on Market Street as we walked to school from our Lord Street home to St. Benedict's School. Sometimes the brook flowed yellow, sometimes red. It depended upon what the paint works upstream was emptying into the water. Still, at our young age, it seemed like magic. Tony Haslam, let me know your email. I would love to thank you personally.

Trying to find a "Picture Post" photo taken 1945--1947 at the corner of Edwards St, Wombwell, Yorkshire. The photo is of my husband when he was abt 9 years old & was captioned "A TYPICAL COAL MINER'S SON" Is there a "Picture Post" collector out there?
