Bent Legs.Memory fading a bit..Left in 1948.Can't remember what class number it was.Was at Grasmere Camp.Mr Milner (Beaky) took us fishing in the rain, and ???? Rimmer woke us all up at 2am playing the piano.Slept on palliasses filled with straw from the cellar.

Love to keep up with what is going on back home. RL is big Down Under and I love telling people I meet that I come from the town that has the Best Rugby League Club in the world. That really gets them going! The records speak for themselves. Don't miss the cold winters, don't miss the food, don't miss the jobs. Only wish family & friends were closer but haven't found a way to shrink the world yet. Luv the life this huge, beautiful country has to offer. What a difference it makes to a day to see the sun shining. Great to be alive.

Good to see you Wigan World back on line after being absent for a few months.
Love having a nose at what's going on around Wigan. Photo albums are brilliant, and the reading room is excellent, all those 'old' news articles from over 100yrs ago.

Found loads of interesting info. Really impressed to find the cemetary records as I found links to people I doubt I would have found otherwise. My dad is Albert Santus, originally from Spring View.
