This is a facinating website which has given me an insight into the area where my Great Grandparents Peter Bibby and Emily Brown came from. Great Grandad Peter Bibby was born 1876 in Factory Field, Orrell. Does anyone have any information about this area or the family that they would be willing to share? Thank you, Joanne.

anyone know any information on a Mrs J Banks, who lived at 28 Little Lane, Pemberton around 1915. Maybe related to Adam Banks and Ellen who lived at 125 Warrington Road with kids Elizabeth and William in late 1800's early 1900's.

This is a lovely website with inspiring photos. My Grandad Joseph Bibby came from Wigan, he was born 1906 in Leigh. His dad was Peter Bibby born 1876 Golborne, and his mother was Emily Brown born 1876 Goose Green Pemberton. I remember Emily, she was almost 100 years old when she died. They moved to Cumbria. Does anyone know any of them? I am researching my family tree. Their ancestors are Lucas, Orrell, Dauling, Roscoe all from Wigan area. Thanks! Joanne
