Hi Lorraine not been on the computer for awhile. Thanks for your email,we are fine.
Hope you are the same.The weather is now coming good again, not that it has been really bad,we just do not like the cooler weather.The last two weekends we have been out to birthday celebrations for two of our grand-daughters.Its good to have these get togethers.I have never asked you but do you have children?I think you would have seen our four children on the Wigan photo albums.
We have eight grandchildren. Keep in touch.cheers Barbara

Message for Derek who is researching family history. Try, if you haven't already the LDS's website FamilySearch.org Its a free search site, I have used it many times for family history with a good success rate. I came up with an Elizabeth Banks, born 1819 in Wigan, parents were James Banks & Isabela. Also an entry on the 1881 census for William Walls & Elizabeth plus 4 children living in Withington Lane, Aspull...give it a try.

i am trying to discover what my g/g/g grandparents were called. ihave my g/g/grandfathers marriage certificate but their parents names are not on the certificate. my g/g/ grandparents were william walls and elizabeth bancks, they were married at all saints wigan on sep second 1844.i would be very gratefull if someone could help

Great site. I belive my granddad and dad(as a boy) lived on Parliment St, from about 1938 to about 1944,, John Nelson and my dad was Kenneth Nelson anyone remember them?
