Sue Roocroft, I used to go horse riding at Roocroft's farm when I lived in Pepper Lane, Standish. I could not
tell you how far it was from my old house but it was known as the three Js.....I think one of the girls names was Judith....this was in the 50s as we left England in 1964....I was known then as Liz Hayes and I would have been near to my early teens.......anyway I hope this helps.....I just saw the name Roocroft and I thought aha....... Trying to make connections with the wigan Branch of the Roocroft family re my family history. My father was born in Coppull & most of his family lived in the Chorley/Bolton area. However we have found a branch in wigan and would like to work out where the links are..great to hear from people
