I am posting this question here as I dont know where else to ask it. It concerns Wigan Mining & Tecnical College in the late 1940s. Does anyone who attended the college or has any knowledge remember a lecturer in mining, Ernest Mason. Ernest also wrote some books on practical mining subjects in the 1950s. Any info appreciated.

I am approaching 86 yrs old next month, but this old dog likes the new format of the site. It's a long time since I lived with my Grandparents at 156 Wigan Rd at Bryn in the 1940s. The old legs are now getting weaker, but the brain still very active. I can still remember the names of some of my school mates at St Peter's Bryn and A-in-M Central School, sadly most are deceased by now.
