Love this site!!! y mother-in-law is Jean Priestley (formerly Reid) and we have greatly enjoyed looking at the Wigan pics, looking for anyone she might have grown up with. She turns 90 in October, a long time since 1926. I will upload a picture of Jean and her sister Florence and would love to hear from anyone who knew them.
Thank-you,
Steve

Re tax refund. Obvious scam i.e. respond immediately or wait. The tax office does not work like this.

Message for Arrow. I'm Chair of the Friends of Haigh Country Park and thought your photos of the Fabulous Forties Afternoon we organised at Haigh on Sunday were brilliant. Would love to have them on our Facebook page (friendshaighcountrypark) with credits to you of course.

To Helen of Troy.
You don't need to keep putting information on the guest book for Brian Rigby.
He has put his e-mail address on, why don't you e-mail him instead?

For Brian Rigby... Brian I have found quite a few details on your Nurdin side of the family..... also The Harmer Family Association have got your Grandmother, Ellen Harmer on one of their Lancashire/Wigan family trees. They are quite happy to send you the sheet with your Grandmother on but would need either a postal or email address.
Perhaps you could let me know ?
Your grandfather George Nurdin was born at a place called Ewen, not far from Cirencester Gloucestershire. Your parents were Herbert Rigby & Eva Nurdin, I can let you know more but its not easy putting it all on WW guestbook.
