I belive that this is a great web site! My father (Keith Fairhurst) as you already know,has taken me to England many many times! I belive this site tells you many interesting facts about wigan. I still have relitives in England, and the chat room is a great place for me to talk with them(and it is cheap!)

Absolutely great site! Lived in the United States for over 23 years, and it's great to be able to see on a daily basis what's happening with my home town. I have some great "past" photos that I will be submitting for uploads to the site. Hope they jog a few memories! See you all soon!!

Was taken to Wigan as a lad by my Granparents William(Bill) Turner & Elizabeth Turner (Ruth) .Grandad lived in shevington a huge wigan rlfc fan .Which I have carried on ,I love the place and my wife has joined the bandwagon(without pressure (ha ha).Great website thanks a lot

both my parents were born in area dad in Standish mam in Shevington mam was Gert Brown , dad Bill Pilkington they came to Yorkshire in 1926 Iwas born here but am a lancashire lass at heart

Brilliant site.I have enjoyed looking at pictures from my home town.Moved here in 1970 but come over to visit.I am looking for relatives of myself and wife.My relatives are Crane.I was raised in Martland mill lane untill I got married in 1950.Used to work at Eckersleys mill as electrician.My wife is Edna Barnes from Newtown Used to work at Eckersleys in doubling shed,anyone know her?.Her relatives are fitzgerald and is a distant relative of the late president Kennedy.Would like to hear from anyone who knows us.
