I lived in Pemberton, Standish and Kitt Green in 1973-74. Met the love of my life at the British Home Stores in Wigan. Married Valerie in 1973 and I brought her home to OZ in July '74. Loved Centrl Park and loved the Wiganers. Great place and great people.

There gotta be more to life than sat here making beans.....i could be sat on Coogee beach NSW with a tinni of Tooheys New ahhhh !

if wigan is so great why does it need all the surrounding small towns to keep it's head above water? wigan should support itself. we are all being fleeced.

There was a Wiganer worked on our site once. One day, at jackbit, he got out a thermos flask. One brickie asked him if it was a new flask. "Aye", he answered, "It's a thermos flask, raaaaght".
