My Mum was born in wigan on March 14th 1912 And we were looking on this of places she remembered she saw this site before she passed last june i remember talking about walking days and her mum had a fish and chip shop thatr also Sarah Hazelton still have many relatives ther please write me if you know any of this Thank Love to allz

Tracing My Family roots. When I discovered My Shannons (Patrick + Catherine)settled in Upholland (1881 census) Hindley (1891 census)Then I found "Wigan World" - What a super source of Info for me. Thankyou.

I managed a store called nevill Reeds in Wallgate, opposite the Clarence pub in 1964 was also a member of the Wigan Gilbert and Sullivan soc,
