BARBARA HUTCHINSON ring a bell with anyone out there ? I think she may have been a pupil at Upholland Grammar School in the 50's, she was a friend of my sister Anne Bradshaw.

Many thanks to Bill and Shelia- you were correct..i did find a picture of my dad,I had quite a laugh- he's the only one without a shirt and tie- and I think its pretty obvious he loved those songs of Elvis!!!

Does anyone have any information about a William Bannister(Banister) born in Wentworth Yorkshire 1867. He was a policeman in Lancashire and in 1915 he was Supt of the Wigan County Police Division He had a son also called William born in 1898 his wife was called Tabitha. He was my gg uncle and raised my g uncle when his mother died.

My Ancestors came from Ashton in Makerfield.
They lived at 33 North Street.They also lived at Strubshaw Cross. The family worked in the mines or on the belts above ground.

If you go to Album on the RH side and click. On the LH side click on Assorted and find Bucks in alphabetical order and the photograph of your Dad is there.

What a fabulous site- I'm so glad mum told me about it. She thought my dad was in a photograph of the Abram Buck's Head Bowling Team - Jimmy Ashton- but I couldn't find it. Anybody out there know where it might be?
