been trying to find couple school pals, Rita Butcher and Ann Unsworth, as I am in my 70's I hope I can trace them now. Used to go to St, Thomas More school. Hope someone knows of them. They both came from Marsh Green.

I am hoping someone here could help me find information about the Occleshaw family of Wigan....through much research I know the family goes back quite a ways. .y mother's mother was an Occleshaw from Wigan. Her name was Jessie and she had a brother named Harold. If you know of this family thank you for your help. I know Jessie Occleshaws dad worked in the coal mines in some way. Jessie came to the US I believe in 1906 as a little girl.

I was at greenfield convent 1940s1950s i remember most of everything written here (everhartd) what was written, I was there at that time, I remember all nuns mentioned,,I never managed to contact anyone one nun was called sister Maderlin, she use to chase me with a metal ladle .i am eighty, so don't think that there's many left

Hi thanks for directing me to the comment re Tony Lawtons demise. I think that's him, because I remember he had a lovely brother called Paul and his Mum lived in the road mention. How sad he died so young. I have some great memories of our time together. Such a larakin. Hope he's at peace.

Hi looking for an old aquaintance I knew His name is Anthony Lawton he was a Butcher with a stall on Wigan Market. I used to hang around with him in the the1980s/1990s. I'm planning a trip back and would love to catch up
