I used to live in Hindley, Park R.D. I went to All Saints school and moved in '79. Would like to get in touch with any old friends but trying to get hold of my cousins Julie Wingrove, David Wingrove and Catherine Wingrove.... so if anyone out there knows where they are, give them a shout for me... thanks.

My Dad and grandma [George and Lilly Walford] worked in the market halls as a shoe repairer...was wondering if anyone remembered them? I used to sit on the stall in the new market every saturday - was browsing for any traders who i might have known.

Hi I am looking for information on a Albert Gregson born 1904 and died 1974. There is a possible connection to an Edward Gregson who won a swimming certificate in school in 1952, I have forgotten name of school. Albert was living with a lady called Elizabeth White maiden name Roby. There is a wedding album taken by a photographer in Birkenhead which I believe belongs to Albert#s family and I would like to return it to them. Many thanks Norma

this site is amazing for reinventing good old Wigan memories!

I moved to Australia in Sept 2005, and haven't been back yet; I can't wait to come see what's changed - and what hasn't!

oh and I am sat with a friend of mine- Kesh Gohil, who also moved to Australia from the Uk. However, Kesh is from Huddersfield and is rather upset that his home town has no such website.

Keep it up Wigan for when I come home!!
