Hello Aussie 94,, Those ovens you talked about those near where i worked were just outside the sprayroom as you may know on the new 2 piece can it was sprayed twice the first one with EPOXY then out and into the oven then they came back into us again then we sprayed them withVINYL lacquer the speed of those machines were incredible to give you an idea on a typical 12 hour shift with full 4 production lines running we could belt out just short of a MILLION CANS ,COCOA COLA/LILT/ALL TOP NAMES OF THAT TIME IN LATE 70s /80s before i left they were changing 2 of the lines over from pop drinks to BEER CANS . I have to agree with you there were quite a few lovely ladies there too ! bye for now stay safe . G.B.
