Handbags   (The sad, the bad and the ugly. Non-productive stuff here.)

Mollie, it is good that you excelled at certain subjects and found a favourable career. I hated school too; unfortunately I was a daydreamer and was largely uninspired. But I excelled at art, technical drawing, physics, geography and was a decent long distance runner, so enjoyed sports too. I left at 15 and soon realised that I needed qualifications to get anywhere, so I started to do evening classes to get A levels and professional qualifications. So I did ok and became a landscape designer, consultant and historian. I did my degree late, part time over 5 years (along with full time work) and graduated when I was 50.
Contrary to popular belief, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!
