My school was Gidlow Secondary Modern - I was there from 1965 to 1969.
Our houses were Raleigh, Gordon, Scott and Nelson. There was a chart for each where stars were stuck on for good conduct, performance, etc.
The highlight for me was playing football for Raleigh against Nelson (who were a good team). we were losing 4-3 and I was on the wing, dribbled past 2 players on the wing and cut in past 2 defenders and scored the winner! I can still picture the event...
