You can tell by the lower attendances that going to London is no longer attracting supporters from the non finalists like it used to do because of the financial costs and more difficulty on the motorways.

Hardly surprising when the clubs from outside the Super League are no longer getting the same chance of a big club coming to their grounds and themselves not going to their Wembley of visting a top Super League club.

The Challenge Cup competition has been devalued with the top eight clubs now only playing a couple of games to get to the final as a result of more importance now being attached to the end of season play off's and final of the Super League as a result of the Sky Sports contract.
