"First is first, after that well"...deluded.

After finishing the previous season without winning any titles, trafford won the Treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League in 1998–99.

However, they didn't win it as three times consecutive Premier League Champions and nor did they brush aside the only (bitter) rivals who, in the process, failed in their much heralded quest to stop City doing the Treble on their way to unequaled glory.

City also prevented that one time rival from doing a domestic cup double whilst they were at it, which trafford didn't do.

trafford may have been the first to do a treble (in England), but they certainly weren't the first to the most comprehensive treble in football history. City obliterated and completely overshadowed their ancient , last century achievment!

All this from a team who used to be in the third division....Sweet.
