Aitch, My brother and me have traced our Ancestors back to 1597 so far and still going. The History Shop in Wigan is a really good place to start and there are people there to help you. Also if you go on Family Search.Org web site with any dates of births, deaths or marraiges before 1900 it will really get you on your way. Keep posted and let us know how you get on. Good Luck
