Just heard this morning here on our local radio station in the Isle of Man that the statue is going to be un-vailed on 26th May. We have a fantastic George statue on the Island makes me smile when I look at it and all my fond memories of my childhood and teen years in Wigan come flooding back. Looking forward to a visit to Wigan in October.
