This is a long shot but....
I am trying to trace a grave in Wigan of a John William Derbyshire, possibly at Ince Cemetry, we aren't sure.
This was my grandfather who died when my mum was 2 or 3 and she is now wondering where he was buried.
We know his sister in law Irene Derbyshire was later buried with him, her husband was Tommy Derbyshire.
All we know is he was born in 1914 or around that time, we are estimating him to be around the age of our grandmother Kitty Derbyshire (nee fitzgerald).
My mum has a vague memory of her father , she thinks he died around 1941 , but it could be within a year or 2 of that.
So any ideas on where I start with this one from anyone will be greatly appreciated.I have never sought any family history before so am going in blind.
I'm looking for correct dates of birth and death, also the location of the grave so my mother can visit it.
Many Thanks.
