greenfield house, what a nightmare, the full address was our lady convent greenfield house billinge nr wigan. it was a mixed home for boys and girls.boys lived one side girls the other. we all went to the school in the village called st. mary,s.i remember two girls, they were sisters i know the names but must keep them to myself,one of the girls had to walk down the corridor with her knickers on her head sister isabel used to egg the girls on to mock her the same sister isabel ofton came around to the boys side when one of the boys would be getting punished by a sister mary clair. the boy would be told to take the bottom of his pyjamas down and get across the bed. the screems would be drowned out with sister isabel singing at the top of her voice. i did three years there. ive been in several of theses homes and since then prisons. but our ladys takes the oscar. im no saint but i would rather go to hell, than to meet them nuns in haven. dont think im a hard case,i have to stop here , i cant see the keyboard because of my tears,
