I remember Bernard Eccles, he was the lead singer in a group called 'Heavens Edge' or similar (obviously inspired by Yes). I seem to remember he had the stage name of "Philip Mansfield", because he reckoned Bernard Eccles wasn't trendy enough. He used to travel on the same coach as I did (same coach as Whups, Big Dickie, Peter Partridge and a few others).
Steve Bentham emigrated to Australia, and last time I saw him, he was an Electrical Mines Inspector in NSW. Does anybody remember him camping out overnight at Mabs Cross Motors to be first in line for a Vauxhall Viva they were selling cheap. If he got hold of a pound note it was a prisoner. We were on the 4th year apprentice week together at Blackpool Miners Home (what happens in Blackpool stays in Blackpool).
