The reason I saw an advisor is because, about a year from my retirement date I became sick and had no income so i needed money so wanted to cash it in, He told me that, That pension was not cashable and the best thing to do was wait for it, On retirement I had 2 options,
1. take a tax free lump sum and a monthly income
2. take an increased monthly income ( can't remember how much that was ) but, option 1, seemed to me a better choice for me,
good luck with your inquiry GB but going off what the advisor told me, Once you've signed the agreement, its set in stone,
I don't know if you ever claimed the deafness compensation because, I got a payment from Metal Box for hearing loss, Although they supplied hearing guards, they did not enforce the wearing of them,
look that up too,
