Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Reading a book at the moment when the author is remembering when -
Butchers used to have sawdust on the floor (I remember that) and steam trains.

Which set me thinking, did there used to be a snicket off King Street somewhere and at the end there was an iron bridge which went over the railway lines at the station?
