Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Morning Jem,been manic this week so no chance to let you have an update on my first visit the to the new venue for the Wheel.First impression was that it was a lot smarter than Whitworth Street,but smaller and seemed to lack some of the atmosphere that the old place had.This was probably to be expected though because i believe that you can never really recreate the experience of anything original.Music policy was as normal though with all the old favourites played.That is up until about 6 pm when the DJ suddenly decided to throw in some random Reggae tunes...don't mind the stuff really but just seemed a bit strange!!So overall would probably give it 7/10 and will go again in May,still a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon !!! PS...highlight of the day was somehow managing to get on a train to Nottingham on the way home with my mate John.I realised just in time and we jumped off at Stockport.Definitely need to drink less !Don't have much luck with British Rail...see February 1971 on the way to Wakefield !!
