You're right trixie. As I remember Mr & Mrs Crompton were Mrs Whites parents. They ran the post office from their front room. It was the last terrace in the row from Kevin Duffy place and had the post box just inside their front gate, across from the parish hall. When they retired Mr & Mrs White took over the post office business and ran it from their house across from the church.
