Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Dagutd27 when the quacker pit was working they used to pump a lot of water out of the workings. If you walk to the top of the houses on LG rd there were fenced off areas in the fields these were sink holes and it was the same in the fields between Birch grove and Billinge road. Led to believe there is a lot of shifting sand in this area and when they pumped the water out the sand moved. Heard there were plans to build more houses on this land
