Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

I didn't hear about that specifically,but whereabouts are you talking? In what I would know as the "old" part of the pit either side of the manrider tunnel and the 1 in 3, or in the "new" part inbye of the Plodder? I would guess that any oil would probably be coming from Wigan 4ft old workings.I did hear about seepages of oil in this seam at Golborne and at other pits such as Bold and Clockface.
