Yes, he is trying to divert the attention of the public away from the boat people, in the hope that he can somehow be reelected at the fast approaching general election, to which I expect the situation to be worse when Kier Starmer and the Labour Party win the next election, and by that I am not being a Tory, I have no time for both Labour & Tory, but if a gun was held to my head, and they said "vote for one or the other" I would vote Labour.
