Tom

I don't know if I have told this tale before, but in the 1970s there was a cycle lane on the Blackpool to Garstang Road and I was wanting to try me bike, me racer out on it, back then I knew of no other cycle lane anywhere around here, only that one, and on every occasion, from being too young to remember, and then into me teens I never saw a cyclist using that cycle lane, and then I found out Y when I did use it, it turned out to be full of crap, glass, stones it were terrible, so I had to cycle on the main road which was busy and at the national speed limit, I looked all the way along the cycle lane, and it was in the same state, it needed a good sweeping, with a big brush, point is Tom, that there was nobody using cycle lanes in the 1970s, so why won't the governments get the message, that normal folk don't want cycle lanes, they want car lanes, we are not like Holland (flat) there are too many hills in this country for there to be a lot of cyclists
